FAQ’s
Frequently Asked
How long is the hiring period?
Usually 4 to 6 weeks – depending on the real estate market at the time.
Can we hire the staging longer after our hire period?
Yes you can for a minimum of 2 weeks.
Do you use 3M hooks to hang art on our walls?
No, we use professional picture hooks – these are safer for the art and ensures art will not fall off and damage your wall. We leave them on the wall once finished. If you prefer 3M hooks then we can discuss this with you but the selection of art is limited.
What happens if a bed deflates?
Call us and we will come to the property as soon as possible. Some beds are real and some have a foam mattress on top. We always check on the property usually in the first week prior to open home just to make sure everything is Tickadeeboo.
Where do you store packaging for the staging?
We will leave all our packaging for staging decor in wardrobes, under beds, in cupboards and wherever else it may fit but ensure it is tidy and hidden away.
Can we live in our home while it’s staged?
We only allow partial staging while the property is occupied and this has terms and conditions.
What if I don’t like things in the staging?
We understand that certain styles don’t suit everyone, however we style and design your property for a variety of buyers and what will get you the best price for your property. However, we are happy to change items for an additional cost.
What do we do if we have furniture that needs removing and can you move it for us?
Yes we can remove and store your furniture, we will get a quote from our trusted provider and organise this with you.
If I’m not in the country, can you look after my property for me? What is the cost of this?
Yes we can look after your property, depending on what needs looking after and how many trips to the property, we can quote this separately on invoicing.
Can I get my property cleaned after it’s sold and the staging is out?
No, the property needs to be professionally cleaned prior to us coming as we have a selection of beautiful items for your home that we want to stay in great condition. We will ensure the property is left clean and tidy when we pack up at the end of the staging.

“Roz has staged four of our properties for the purpose of selling. Each time the houses were presented for sale, they looked amazing. And we are in no doubt that the excellent sale prices we achieved were in part down to Roz. Roz’s honesty, enthusiasm and integrity are beyond reproach. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Tickadeeboo as a brilliant home stager and we are delighted to attend to her character.”

Roz and her team exceeded our expectations. The quality of furnishing and decor were really impressive. Originally I was dubious about getting a home staging company, I had seen some pretty basic examples online from other companies so wasn't keen, Roz came extremely highly recommended. So very pleased we have used her, worth every cent.

Roz and her team at Tickadeeboo provided us with an outstanding home staging service. Tickadeeboo supplied exceptional quality furnishings and artworks combined in an eclectic way that took our home to a high level of interior design. I have no doubt that Roz’s design skills led to the high value sale price achieved after only two weeks on the market.

I had a house in Petone. Lots of Potential, very sound, but had not been redecorated apart from bathrooms since the 80s. After working with Roz the house sold for almost 1/4 million more than the highest previous price in the street. The agents were gob-smacked. All the cost was repaid by more than triple profit over the original purchase price. If you want to get best value, talk to Roz.
